UPCOMING TRIPS

Click on the name of the trip to download/view the flyer or brochure for that trip. All trips may not have a flyer.  Contact the directors for additional information or to register for a trip.

Trip sign ups will begin at 9 a.m. in person at the first general meeting after the trip is announced (unless otherwise stated in the description).  At 11 a.m. the trip will be open for all sign ups by mail or director contact.

Waitlist sign ups provide a way for you to show interest in the trip. Your name on a waitlist does not guaranteed spot on the trip. Waitlist names are moved to fill openings on the trip on a first paid basis after contact by the directors.

Hamilton and National WWII Museum

April 15 - 16, 2025  (Sign up begins 11/21/24)

Highlights of Trip:

April 15, 2025: 12:30 p.m. Depart from Rouses, Spanish Fort; 12:45 p.m. Depart from Mobile, Tillmans Corner; 4:00 p.m.: Arrive and check in at Harrah's Hotel and Casino (aka Caesars New Orleans); 6:30 p.m. Depart Hotel to attend Hamilton; 7:30 p.m. Attend Hamilton for approximately 3 hours; 10:30 p.m. Return to Hotel.

April 16, 2025: 8:45 a.m. Depart Hotel to National WWII Museum; 9:00 a.m. Leisurely tour the museum; 12:30 Depart museum heading to Copelands Restaurant, Slidell, LA; 1:30 p.m. Arrive at Copelands for lunch (on your own); 3:30 p.m. Depart Copelands returning to your pick up locations.

Explore Biloxi - More Than Just a Casino!

April 21 - 22, 2025

Highlights: We will arrive in Biloxi to board the Shrimping Boat for a Living Marine Adventure Cruise. Lunch at Mary Mahoney's Old French House (included). Tour of the Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum. Step-on Guided City Tour. Overnight at the Beau Rivage ($30 Free Play). Dinner on your own (will provide list of options). On Tuesday, April 22: Guided Tour of Beauvoir Mansion, Jefferson Davis Presidential Library, Museum. Self-Guided tour of the Gardens and Memorial Cemetery. Stop over on the way home in Ocean Springs for lunch (on your own) and shopping.

Mobile Tunnel Tour

Highlights of Trip: Take this trip with us to the Alabama Department of transportation in Mobile. We will tour the east ventilation building: go under the tunnel (yes that is correct) and visit the control room where 126 cameras view I 10 traffic. After we will go eat at the Bluegill restaurant on your own.

To Kill a Mockingbird - The Play

Highlights of Trip: Join hosts at the Daphne Target at 10:30 a.m. to travel to Monroeville, Alabama to see a production of "To Kill a Mockingbird," the play based on the award-winning book by Harper Lee. We will have lunch at David's Catfish, Monroeville, Alabama (on your own) before the production, and will return to Daphne after the performance. Ticket are limited so sign up early.

Highlights: Join us as we explore the fishing village of Bon Secour, Alabama by trolley. We will have a private guided tour of the 1882 tidewater design Swift-Coles house on the Bon Secour River. After, we will have lunch (on your own) at the award-winning Tin Top Restaurant at their beautiful new waterfront location. Tin Top features seafood, steaks, and an oyster bar. Next stop is Billy's Seafood Market where their motto is "If it swims, we got it". Bring a small cooler to take home seafood from this family-owned business that has been fishing for generations.

On site at Costal Makers Studio 20764 Barbara Lane, Robertsdale, AL @ noon. Meet for lunch on your own at 10:30 am., @ Acadiana Cafe, 16137 Silverhill Ave, Silverhill AL. 

Highlights: Create your own 11 x 14 canvas picture using driftwood, shells and other coastal 'debris'.  Learn how to turn these items into beautiful art. Use your imagination or use samples to guide you. This will be a fun and creative afternoon.

Gulf Coast Chinese Lantern Festival - Bellingrath Gardens

Highlights: Join us for the inaugural Gulf Coast Chinese Lantern Festival as Bellingrath Garden & Home transforms into a breathtaking display of light and artistry. As night falls, the Gardens will turn into a luminous dreamscape, where 41 towering, handcrafted light sculptures glow with vibrant colors, lighting the landscape with interactive artistry and imagination. Visitors will journey through the estate, where each glowing display tells a story through plants, animals, and fantastical creatures, blending ancient tradition with modern innovation.

Wind Creek Wine & Dine

Highlights:  Join us for a relaxing overnight stay as we travel by van to Wind Creek Casino. On our way, we will stop at the Poarch Creek Museum/Welcome Center.  There will be an early check-in pf 2 pm with plenty of time to take advantage of the pool, movie theater and spa. On Wednesday there is a $1.00 per game bowling special and we will get $25 Casino Free Play!! Wednesday night (6:30 pm), we will have transportation to Gather Restaurant (optional, gatherrestaurantatmore.com) in Atmore for dinner on your own. On our way home on Thursday, we will stop at the Warehouse Market (warehousebarketandbakery.com)where you can purchase Lunch/Snack items for our Wine/Vinegar Tasting at Perdido Vineyard (perdidovineyards.com). Grease Is The Word

Highlights of Trip: Please join us for a one day motorcoach trip to The Beau Rivage to attend a live performance of “Grease Is The Word”, performing at 2:00pm. Departure starting at 10:00am from Target in Daphne, with a pick up at Rouses Supermarket, Spanish Fort at 10:15am, and Tillmans Corner, Mobile at 10:45am, as necessary for each location. Arrival at The Beau Rivage should allow enough time before the performance to grab a bite to eat. Meals are on your own. We are planning on departing The Beau Rivage approximately 45 minutes after the performance.


Canadian Rockies and the Rocky Mountaineer Train

Board the Rocky Mountaineer train in Banff and travel to Kamloops through majestic scenery. Spend the night in Kamloops and then board the train for another amazing ride to Vancouver. Visit Stanley Park, and Granville Island Public Marker full of handmade crafts and artisan food. An amazing journey in the Canadian Rockies not to be missed!
